Beijing, July 1, 2013 – BlueCurrent, a member of the FleishmanHillard family of brands, today announced a key appointment for its Beijing operation. Helen Huan will be joining the team to serve as Senior Vice President and the Head of Beijing Office.
Ms. Huan, overseeing the brand in mainland China, is to help enlarge the business further and provide an expanded premium service to the clients. She reports directly to FleishmanHillard’s Senior Partner and China President Li Hong.
Ms. Huan holds over 15 years’ experiences in strategic consultancy, public relations and marketing, and is an experienced practitioner in social media, new media and integrated communication. She also has profound understanding and knowledge of technology, IT, computer and Internet industries. Prior to joining BlueCurrent Beijing Office, she served as Senior Director of the Technology Practice in Edelman China, where she led the team in providing primarily counsel to Edelman’s global account, HP, within the areas of consumer technology and Corporate Communications. She integrated internal expertise and resources to provide one-stop solutions in terms of marketing, social media communication, crisis management and media relations management, in order to support client’s business priority and enhance brand reputation. She was responsible for brand building and enhancement of the high-level vertical segments when working in Intel (China) Corporation, as its Brand and Marketing Strategy Manager. There she analyzed challenges and opportunities to develop marketing strategy; identify key audience and content, and drove integrated campaign development and execution to contribute to the long term business success in China. She has experience working in several multinational PR agencies serving leading international clients in the technology and information technology sectors, including Tencent, Norton, Trimble, SOL, Motorola, PalmSource, AMD, Netscreen and Tom Group. She also worked in marketing function in multinational corporations.
Ms. Huan holds a postgraduate diploma in Integrated Marketing Communications from Hong Kong University, and graduated from Foreign Affairs College in 1994, majoring in English, and completed Executive Development Program from the PETER F. DRKCKER ACADEMY.
